Bookstock '12 Used Book & Media Sale Bookstock Used Book and Media Sale

Volunteer Book Sorting & Drop-off Location for Wednesdays: West Bloomfield JCC, Maple & Drake, Room 107 A, B, & C, lower level, enter through main entrance. Book drop-off at main entrance circle. Additional drop-off locations on Bookstock website.

Sunday "Colossal Collections" Location:
West Bloomfield JCC, Maple & Drake, Drive to loading dock on north side, near nursery school entrance.


Dates: Book Sorting Every Wednesday, through April 11, 2012

      Contribute by helping to sort books for Bookstock Used Book Sale. Bookstock benefits the community by recycling books and provides the community with inexpensive reading pleasure. It also earns funds for literacy programs sponsored by the participating organizations such as NCJW/GDS.

Rembrandt and the Face of Jesus
brings together for the first time many of Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn's finest paintings, prints and drawings that portray Jesus and events described in the Bible. The exhibition of 64 works includes approximately 52 small, intimate paintings, prints and drawings by Rembrandt and his students that illustrate how Rembrandt broke from traditional 17th-century representations of Jesus.

Join us for the JET Theatre's performance of Tony Award winning play, God of Carnage. It is a dark comedy about two urban couples attempting to maturely resolve an altercation that occurred between their 11 year old sons in a neighborhood park. The characters do not exactly set a sterling example for the kids.

After the play we will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the director. We will have dinner first (cost on your own) at Jerusalem Pizza and then see the play at 7:30 pm. RSVP by December 9th.

     The Jewish Film Festival  preview of selected film excerpts will be reviewed with Shari Lebo, former Director of JCC Film Festival. Previews of upcoming movies will be shown, including the movie sponsored by NCJW/GDS. Coffee and cake will be served.
