From the President
2009 is a landmark year for our Greater Detroit Section as we celebrate two remarkable anniversaries. First, it is our Section's 118th anniversary--118 years of caring, compassionate and powerful women working to fulfill our mission. Second, 2009 is the 75th anniversary of our Council Thrift Shops--providing the community with quality clothes and household items at reasonable cost, while generating revenues for funding our many community service projects.
As a non-profit organization, we are only as powerful as our resources allow. Please join me in making certain that, even in these turbulent economic times, NCJW/GDS can continue to make a difference in the lives of so many.
